ASGCT 2026 Day 1: PackGene Showcases Advances in AAV Manufacturing and Analytical Innovation

PackGene opened ASGCT 2026 with strong engagement from the global cell and gene therapy community. At Booth #1531, the team welcomed researchers, biotech leaders, industry partners, and long-standing customers for in-depth discussions on AAV manufacturing, analytical development, and integrated CMC solutions.

Throughout the first day, PackGene’s technical and business teams connected with visitors from around the world to discuss key challenges in gene therapy development, including AAV yield improvement, vector purity, capsid engineering, scalable GMP manufacturing, and advanced quality control strategies. PackGene also highlighted its scientific work through a poster presentation titled “Qualifying Mass Photometry Performance for AAV Peak Annotation Using Native Reference Standards”. The study demonstrated how native reference standards can support more accurate AAV characterization using mass photometry, offering a rapid and label-free approach for assessing AAV samples. The poster generated active discussion among attendees interested in improving analytical workflows for AAV quality assessment.

In addition, PackGene previewed its upcoming oral presentation, “Advancing AAV Manufacturing through Process Optimization and Intensification,” to be delivered by Ran Li, Associate Director of Process & Analytic Development. The presentation focuses on strategies to enhance AAV manufacturing performance through process optimization, high-cell-density transfection, and robust purification development.
