At PackGene, we use the state-of-the-art SamuxMP mass photometer from Refeyn, Ltd., for unparalleled AAV characterization. The SamuxMP is specifically designed for AAV analytics, precisely measuring light scattered by individual AAV particles as they land on a glass surface. This converts the signal into an accurate mass measurement for each particle.
This innovative, label-free method allows the SamuxMP to precisely distinguish and quantify full, partially filled, and empty AAV capsids, preserving their native state since they're analyzed directly in solution. It's also versatile, compatible with all AAV serotypes and common AAV buffers. Beyond crucial full/empty capsid ratio measurements, it also provides a rough capsid titer estimation.
