BrainChild Bio, a cell therapy developer focused on CAR T-cell treatments for children with rare brain cancers, has raised $116 million in Series A financing.
Spun out of Seattle Children’s Hospital, the company is developing CAR T therapies for direct administration into the central nervous system, an approach that remains relatively uncommon in brain cancer. Its lead therapy, BCB-276, which targets B7-H3, is in Phase 2 testing for diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG); a second program, BCB-214, is in preclinical development for glioblastoma and is expected to enter human testing in 2027.
The financing supports BrainChild Bio’s pediatric oncology programs and reflects continued interest in applying CAR T-cell therapy beyond blood cancers.
